How to Convert Sketches to Photorealistic Fashion Images with Resleeve AI

Learn how to turn your fashion sketches into photorealistic images, on-model mockups, and AI-generated runway videos using Resleeve's end-to-end workflow. No photoshoots or rendering software required.

Mastering Resleeve: From Sketch to Photorealistic Images, On-Model Looks, and Video

How to transform your fashion sketches into living, moving designs with Resleeve’s end-to-end AI workflow

In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through the full sketch-to-video pipeline using Resleeve—from uploading your original sketch to rendering photorealistic designs, dressing a model, and generating a motion video clip.

🎥 Watch the full demo:

Step 1: Upload and Render from Sketch

Start by uploading your sketch—either hand-drawn or digital.
Resleeve’s Sketch mode transforms it into a photorealistic fashion look, all while preserving your original lines.

How to do it:

  1. Click the upload icon and select your sketch.

  2. Open the three-dot menu → click Use as Workflow → select Sketch.

  3. Choose how many images you want (try 4 to start).

  4. Hit Enter and watch Resleeve generate your looks.

🖼 The AI respects your silhouette while layering in textures, fabrics, and lighting.

Step 2: Enhance with True-to-Original Upscaling

Sometimes the initial render may feel low-res or a bit inconsistent.
That’s where the Upscale feature comes in:

  • Choose your favorite result

  • Open the three-dot menu → click Upscale → True to Original

  • This ensures Resleeve references your sketch, not just the AI-generated image, for added accuracy

Step 3: Extract the Garment Using Ghost Mode

Now it’s time to isolate the garment so you can apply it to a model.

To extract a garment:

  1. Select your favorite generated image.

  2. Click the three-dot menu → choose Ghost.

  3. Use the Magic Wand to highlight just the garment.

  4. Manually brush any small areas like sleeves, collars, or hems.

  5. Click Apply to confirm the clean ghost image.

This step creates a standalone, AI-traceable garment—ideal for digital try-ons.

Step 4: Apply the Design On a Model

You can now fit your extracted garment onto a real model photo—yours or stock.

Steps:

  1. Upload a model image wearing minimal clothing (e.g., swimsuit for better garment placement).

  2. Open the three-dot menu → click Use as Workflow → On Model Image.

  3. Highlight the areas where the garment should appear (e.g., torso, arms).

  4. Apply the previously ghosted garment:

    • Three-dot menu → Use as Workflow → On Model Garment.

  5. Hit Enter and Resleeve will render multiple images of your model wearing the design.

📸 Don’t worry if the first result isn’t perfect—adjust your highlighted zones or try another render for better shoulder, sleeve, or neckline alignment.

Step 5: Animate Your Look with On-Video Mode

Let’s bring it to life. With Resleeve’s On-Video mode, your designed model can walk the virtual runway.

Here’s how:

  1. Select your final on-model image.

  2. Open the three-dot menu → click Use as Workflow → On Video.

  3. Write a short video prompt like:

    • “Female model walking toward the camera, camera moving backward, full-body in frame.”

  4. Hit Enter to generate your animated fashion video.

Your model will now be strutting in style—no film crew or green screen needed.
